Robin made my mortgage loan process so easy! She is very easy to talk to, outgoing and made everything so simple. Her many years of experience in the industry is very apparent because she is very knowledgeable on so many topics. I am a first-time home buyer and had no idea how the mortgage loan process works. Thanks lofidirect and Anniemac team for helping me in refinance 15 yr conventional.
Here are some key points about my refi experience.
Original quote - Rate quote was honored. :)
Quote assumes escrow for property taxes and home insurance.
There can be some additional fee adjustment for no escrow.
Fees - As expected and did not change throughout process. :)
Rate lock - This was a surprise for me. Rate was not locked till underwriting was done.
I was bit anxious about rates moving higher.
Rates were steady and Matthew helped me explaining their strategy of locking rate
later in the process.
lofidirect should lock rates as soon as the process starts rather than later
since many borrowers like me will like to lock rates straight away.
Progress - My refi was very straight forward. It still took unexpected amount of time.
I agree that it is due to refi demand and industry backlog.
It was cutting close to rate lock expiry date.
Fortunately it did not happen but Matthew was in communication and advised that
any extra fee for new rate lock will be absorbed by lofidirect.

All paperwork done via docusign and uploading documents.
Covid - Employment verification was done in last 2-3 days. Latest paystubs were requested frequently.
That was also a surprise to me.
Looks like lenders nowadays make sure about employment frequently due to Covid problems.
All in all, it was a good experience ending with successful refi.
I will definitely work with Matthew in future if rates fall further.
